This is the same tool "The Cable Guy" brought to my house.
I bought this tool and had it on standby, in case the cable guy wouldn't re-wire as I desired. As soon as he pulled out his terminator tool, I knew I could fix what he did if he didn't do what I wanted. It was a dead match. After he left, I opened the box and pulled out unused jumpers and splitters that he had left in the box.Bottom line, the tool worked great. I don't know if I'll ever use it again, but it seems like it should last at least for a few dozen or more insertions. Reasonable price for a "standby tool."

Solid Tool!!
I have been doing the cable tech gig for about 7 months now and have been trying to put together tools that will do what they are made to do. These are those! Doesn't come close to bending. Worth the money. Thinking about buying another pair. PLEASE BE KIND!! We never know what others have gone through or are going through. If you of someone you know is dealing with more than they can handle, Please call 988. It is the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and they are available 24/7/365. They can help.

Good quality
No complaints, works as described. I’m an internet technician so I use it quite frequently. I did read reviews saying it was weak, but that would be from people putting terminators on with the death grip.

Worked flawlessly to remove a Comcast terminator - it is a good tool!
I ordered Internet from Comcast (Xfinity) with a self install kit. Sadly, my drop was not hot.Rather than having to wait for a technician to show up to just remove the stupid terminator I did it myself. (the point of them being "locking" was to keep people from stealing cable back in the day, but it is now all digital and encrypted so there is not much reason not to leave the drops live anymore)Note that there are ways you can mess up their system though, so you should not do this unless you have special training (specifically if you leave any cables hanging loose unterminated they will pick up RF interference and feed it back into the cable system - which slows everyone down and can cause service disruption!)

So much better than the cheap ones all over Amazon
So much better! After moving to a new company I needed to replace some tools so I bought one of those generic other ones that you see a bunch of on Amazon. Used it once and the shaft bent, plunger froze, and the handle and shaft separated trying to remove the stuck terminator from the tool. Got this one and it’s perfect. Just like the one I use to use.

Works fine (-- with a minor issue)
The tool, like others from this manufacturer, is a good one. The only issue is that the piece that moves in/out inside the tube, along with the "wings" that retract, sticks quite a bit. Lubrication did not help. However, this really does nto detract from the usefulness of the tool. This was used on a lock at the demarc (which *I own*) installed by a Spectrum/Time-Warner technician.

Great for tight spaces
Fits perfectly in palm of one hand for operation. Great for tight spaces, like when a customer builds a deck on top of their CSE.
