Plenty big for my African Grey. I know an Umbrella Cockatoo is bigger, but I'd think they'd have plenty of room. These cages are a little pricey, but they are high quality and worth it. I have 3 of them. **Q: Is the large cage appropriate fir a macaw?** A: I have two of these cages & I have a blue front amazon in one & an Illinger macaw ( mini macaw ) in the other , also my birds are out a lot . This cage is way too small for a full size macaw . **Q: Is this cage made of 304 Stainless Steel?** A: No its not. But its very good quality stainless steel. I wash mine outside with the hose and air dry it and I've had zero rust. 304 is medical grade but there are other grades that don't rust if that is the concern.
