Had never heard of 'swollen lug nuts' until last week when tried to fit my lug wrench (actually a deep 13'16" impact socket and an 18" Craftsman break-over bar) on to check tightness after shop repair at one I had never patronized before. Have always had tire repairs done by Discount. I suspect the look on my face was priceless when not a single lug nut still fit the wrench I'd been carrying for 5 years. After reading about Ford not warrantying them I bought this set of replacement nuts and the CTA multi size metric flip sockets kit on Amazon. Took the 21.5mm socket on 17 of the lugs to remove but 7 required the 22mm tapped on with a hammer to get them to bite enough to get the nuts off (using an air impact wrench). All OK now - these replacement one piece lugs use the Ford factory standard 13/16" wrench. Did read some review complaints about rust but have never owned any chromed one piece lug nuts that eventually didn't get some rust on them - they get scratched up from the lug wrench/sockets. Applied some WD40 Dry Lube/Corrosion Protection on these sprayed onto a cheap small paint brush and wiped each down.Anyway, rusty lug nuts that are removable on the side of the road beats pretty ones and a tow truck bill....Shipping from this seller was on time and well packaged . ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product at 1/3 of the cost vs. buying from Ford! *by R***G on Reviewed in the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ on April 17, 2020* I got the unpleasant surprise when I took our 2016 Ford expedition for an oil change & tire rotation that the lug nuts were failing. These are two piece lug nuts, and over time the outer portion will swell and eventually be difficult to remove and impossible to put back on. According to the mechanic, this is a common issue and known by Ford, but not something they are covering apparently. I then got the further unpleasant surprise that new ones from Ford would be around $150 to $200. For less than 1/3 the cost, I bought these one piece replacement lug nuts which are of significantly better quality and will last for the rest of the lifetime of the vehicle. Seller showed availability to deliver in early May (which was more than a month later), but then significantly beat that lead time by delivering instead in only about a week. Installed very easily, without any chips to the chrome. Man, are they a huge improvement over the stock POS nuts from Ford. They do stick out a bit further than stock, but I think it makes them look cooler! I opted for the chrome over the black, even though I'm not much into chrome, because I felt that the painted ones may scratch a bit easier. I would have loved to have seen "Black Chrome", but I'm pretty happy with these. Very nice addition to my nice new BFG Ko2s.
