I was so excited to buy these pecans. I’d been searching for days and driven many miles trying to find pecans that my family could enjoy that would not cause an allergic reaction because they’d been processed with equipment or in a facility that also handled peanuts. I bought the largest bag available with plans to make pecan pies and a big sweet potato casserole for Thanksgiving. This company advertises in the description that they’re batch tested and there’s no peanut allergens in their pecans. They also provide a photo of the nutrition information that states the allergen risks are to tree nuts (read: NOT peanuts!). Lo and behold, these expensive pecans arrived today, I paid extra shipping to ensure that they would, and I’m ready to get in the kitchen and start cooking for my large family. Then, I double-checked the bag and was appalled to see that there is a warning in very small print stating that these pecans may contain peanut allergens! I stood in my kitchen and cried. Nothing quite ruins a Thanksgiving dinner like an anaphylactic reaction and a trip to the emergency room and quite possibly, the deaths of small children! I am angry beyond words! 🤬 DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! That’s not a “little white lie,” people!
