So this is the best footfall inhave bought to date. It arrived today and I used it straight away (the pictures were taken after I had used it). It definitely removed hard skin. And it does it well and effortlessly. It does leave your feet softer but not smooth - but that to be expected from. A foot file that looks and feels like a cheese grater. I'll need a pumice to smooth out the skin bit given how good this foot file is, I don't mind! I am very pleased that I bought it. So much so that I am reviewing it now. I'll write an update after I've had it a few weeks. Oh and it comes with a storage pouch! Bonus!

I have two rechargeable foot sanders as I call them, which work but my gosh they are slow. You see the tiny tiny piles of hard skin slowly coming off the bottom of my feet. This thing is basically a parmesan shaver… Seriously. It works so well. As it should. But it is basically a shorter and wider Parmesan shaver without doubt. In fact I may buy another for the kitchen it’s that good. Think of a long slim Parmesan shaver but shaped like a hair brush. The very fine sharp shaving holes work so well I had removed pretty much all my dead and hard skin in one session. And there was a lot, and I mean a lot of shaved Parmesan…. I mean hard skin on the shower floor. One thing I would say is don’t over do it. I’m fine but on one foot I have a very small tender area on my heel where I basically shaved a tiny bit too much off…. but it doesn’t hurt just tender. But I do have beautifully pink and dead / hard skin free feet now. Remember to moisturise your soles and feet daily after this and then you can repeat as many times as you wish, applying no pressure but just a gentle back and forth. Buy one, they are so so much better than the electric foot sanders. I’ll probably still use the rechargeable foot sander to do the little bits u for my toes. Abut for the rest or for fine detail work use the rapper. My score 15\10

I was going to buy a blade thing - y’know the ones they use in salons…? but from previous experience I wasn’t confident I’d find the right type and that it’d work. So I look into other ways to remove hard skin on my feet and came across this rasp. I soaked my feet in a bowl of hot water (with a splash of radox bubble bath) for about 15 minutes. I used a little shower puff to wash my feet while they were still in the water, then I patted my feet almost dry with a clean dry towel. Then I used the rasp on the heels and balls of my feet and also the sides of my big toes. Oh. My. Gosh. I wasn’t expecting it to work SO well!! so much hard skin came off!! I really was impressed! so I kept going for about 5 minutes. Hard skin COMPLETELY gone! I honestly couldn’t believe just how,well it had worked as I tend to be sceptical about these things! BUT the next day, my feet did feel a little sore. Well for about 3 days they felt sore. I was glad I hadn’t used it for longer than 5 minutes! it wasn’t too bad though. Still worth it to have no hard skin left! 1 week later and my feet are still nice and soft with no hard skin. I haven’t used any foot cream or anything. I imagine I’ll need to do it again in a month or so and I’ll make sure I only use the rasp for a couple of minutes to avoid ‘over rasping’. I’ll leave another review once I try it again for a shorter amount of time. I definitely recommend it to get rid of hard skin on the feet.

Superb foot tool for removing hard skin. This tool is much better than my other hard skin removal tools Only apply very light pressure as it is very sharp, unless you want a visit to your local A&E Highly recommended Use cream afterwords and you will end up with nice new soft feet! NOTE: Do not use the skin instead of parmesan cheese on your pasta to bolognese, no matter how tempting it will be, as it is very similar in look, texture and taste to grated parmesan cheese!

I cannot believe it's taken me 38 years to find this. I'm on my feet all day so they get very dry and hard. I have tried metal files in the past but they were so blunt. I just thought it was gimmicky. For years I've used pumice stones, foot masks etc but I've always had super hard and thick skin around my heels and on the outside of the ball of my foot under my little toes. Within about 20 seconds all that hard skin went, revealing fresh skin. I've not been able to feel my feet when I have scratched them, felt the cold of the floor etc. Now I can feel everything. My feet were so itchy under the dead skin and I could never get that itch. I'm honestly chuffed to bits and wish I found this sooner. Best money I ever spent. My feet are soft and look so clean and healthy.. everyone should own one. Ignore comments about cutting yourself. Just don't do the same spot for a long period of time. Use common sense lol. I've never cut my foot on it.

It’s a great big cheese grater for your feet, what more could you want. Actually it’s pretty good, the size makes it easy to use and unlike another I tried (in fairness shall remain nameless) it doesn’t eat your foot, it’s reasonably gentle.

Not sure what to make of this. If you have extremely thick dead skin then this might be exactly what you’re looking for as it is SO sharp and will definitely cut through those kind of difficult areas. But I was just looking for an effective maintenance foot file and because the ‘grater’ pattern is so rough and coarse I’ve actually found it’s roughened up my skin and they feel worse than when I started. I guess using a pumice stone to buff to a smooth finish is a good idea but unless you have a severe problem with hard skin on feet this feels like overkill. I also find it quite scary to use rather than satisfying as some reviewers have mentioned, since it is so sharp you don’t feel you can use much pressure or get into a proper rhythm with it.

This foot file is so good, always leaves my feet so smooth after every use. My tip, keep it clean and will last a long time

Avec les chaussettes et les chaussures fermées en hiver, j'ai tendance à avoir plus de peaux mortes et abîmées aux pieds, au point qu'il faudrait que je sorte la râpe Scholl 3 fois par semaine, ce que je n'ai pas eu le temps de faire. J'avais donc besoin d'une rape manuelle efficace pour me débarrasser de ma corne. Mon choix s'est portée sur cette rape type "rape à fromage" par rapport à son prix : là où la plupart sont vendues entre 10 et 15€, celle-ci coûte moins de 6€. Reçue en Prime le lendemain. Et je ne suis pas déçue : essayée sur pieds secs (mais peut être utilisée sur pieds mouillés) elle est très affûtée et les peaux mortes sont coupées au moindre effleurement. Ne surtout pas appuyer, on risquerait de se couper ! Bref, après quelques aller-retour sur les zones à traiter, mes pieds sont déjà méconnaissables ! Je renouvellerai l'opération sur pieds mouillés et compléterai avec un masque histoire d'avoir un fini parfait. Après utilisation, il suffit de rincer sous l'eau, de laisser sécher et de stocker dans la pochette fournie. Bref, je recommande !

Klasse Hornhautfeile. Die nimmt richtig was weg. Ich hatte vorher eine auf schmirgel Basis. Kein Vergleich.

Nachdem ich Jahrzehnte (!) alle möglichen Hilfsmittel zum Hornhautentfernen auf dem Markt gekauft habe, ohne zufriedenstellenden Erfolg, bin ich durch Zufall auf diese Hornhautfeile gestossen. Die ganzen Kommentare klangen sehr positiv, aber ich blieb skeptisch. Ich dachte dabei an Fake Bewertungen. Habe sie mir dann ohne große Hoffnung bestellt. Als sie ankam und ich sie sofort auf dicker Hornhaut an der Ferse ausprobierte, war ich sehr überrascht, wie schnell und wie viel Hornhaut sie abträgt. Bei der dicken Hornhaut habe ich etwas mehr Druck ausgeübt, bei dünner Hornhaut reicht es, sachte und leicht darüber zu gehen. Früher musste ich mit den Feilen extrem viel Muskelkraft aufwenden mit mäßigem Ergebnis. Und bei diesen furchtbaren Hornhauthobeln mit Klingen lief es fast immer blutig ab und die Hornhaut war ruckzuck wieder da. Mit dieser Feile macht die Pediküre aber echt Spass, da sie sehr effektiv und mit grosser Wirkung ist - dazu ohne langen Aufwand. Endlich sehen meine Füße wieder tip-top aus. Eine Fusscreme benutze ich abschließend zur Ergänzung, damit die Haut schön weich und geschmeidig bleibt. Daß die Feile ziemlich gross ist, finde ich sehr gut, das macht die Arbeit einfacher auf größeren Stellen, wie Ferse und Fußsohle. Es werden beim Feilen keine Hornhautstücke abgetragen, sondern es ist mehliger Staub. Also eine ganz klare Kaufempfehlung - 5 Sterne ! Update nach mehreren Wochen: Nach Benutzung der Feile vor mehreren Wochen hält der positive Effekt immer noch an, und ich musste sie nicht mehr benutzen. Die Füße sehen immer noch einwandfrei aus, auch für offene Sommersandalen. Update: Meine gründliche Pediküre hielt ca. 4 Wochen an, ohne daß ich Nacharbeiten musste.
