Great product with a reasonable price
This product works better than the original pump that was setup when we had our well drilled. We have never installed something like this before, but it was easy and quick. My water pressure is better than before. I will definitely be a return customer.

Seems like a quality pump
Started getting air in the lines and knew I needed a new pump ASAP. Found this one on Amazon. The price point made me skeptical. But decided to try it. It came super fast. Installed easy. (But I have done this before.) and it seems to be working great. It has been in service almost a year now. No issues. Buying another one for our retirement ranch.

the included "Splicing kit" sucks ! crimp connectors and rubber tape with holes in it ?
the pump itself seamed to be all it's cracked up to be ! , I added a check valve and put it down the well after fightingtrying to get the splicing tape to stick and finally figuring it out...i think, it sticks to itself and you streach it a little to make a water tight seal.... but with a deep hole all the way through the roll what is the point of that ? so you have to overlap more than half the width of the tape ? ....just give us shrink tubing please ! and forget the crimp connectorsI soldered the wires and then taped them with electrical tape........if I knew ahead of time that the splicing kit consisted of crimp connectors and rubber tape I would have gone to the hardware store and bought something better.... and had it on hand when the pump arrived !YOU shot yourself in the foot guys ! ...the pump worked first try and has been for 6 hours now and I expect it to last years.... I expect everyone that installs this pump will throw away your "Splicing kit" especially when you tell the customer we recommend heat shrink tubing and solder connections, that's almost admitting that your excuse of a splicing Kit is junk ! ..... but I had no choice we have been without water in the house for 2 weeks i was not going to wait another day.... ....as others have mentioned the wires seam too small, yah they do ! but it works ! ....remember it's 220vac not 110vacyou can get away with smaller wires guys ! it's OK !but for all my complaining I would definitely recommend this pump.... for however long it will work ! I hope decades !LOL.....Bob........Edit: its been in a few days now and the pressure gauge is set at 25/60 psi. and it has been working flawlessly... I added a pilot light to the pressure switch to indicate when the pump was running... and it comes on and runs for about 30 seconds and then shuts off.... it's been doing that sense I put it in.... Its a GREAT PUMP !!!!

Check valve must be installed.
Love the price and quality of the pumps. Will note that the install instructions that come with the pump make no mention of a separate check valve. One needs to be installed above the pump which is mentioned in the Amazon listing but not in the install instructions. Just a FYI. I found the tech support was great also!

Piece of Chinese junk
I replaced a pump that had been in use since 1992. I saw good reviews on this pump so decided to try it. What a big mistake. The straps holding the wiring which is too small , we’re flimsy steel that stuck out so far it was difficult to get it in the 4 inch well. After finally getting it installed I turned the water on to find that it only had 75% outflow that the previous pump had, same horsepower, same gallons per hour. After turning it off and back on to water the yard again I discovered the check valve didn’t work. I called the distributor and was told it was supposed to slowly loose its prime. Well long story short the pump only lasted for a year and so months so it has been replaced with an American Made pump that I am finally satisfied with.

5 years and going strong.
180 feet down 4" drilled well feeding family home and has been flawles for 7 months now. I added a brass check valve at the top side of the 180' deep pipe, and so far all is well, lol. I thank God I found it at this price after 2 weeks of no water for my family and only had $200 to my name due to job loss. UPDATE, Still working great 8-23-2024

Simple to use
This is a very hard review. Step one... assembly and electrical were a breeze. Unfortunately, the pump was "lost" during the attempt to lower it into the well, so durability has not been established. The new unit that has been installed by my local well driller is working well though.

WIRING & CHECK VALVE
HAVE NOT INSTALLED PUMP YET. OLD PUMP MAY HAVE CORRECTABLE PROBLEM (CHECK VALVE MAY HAVE BEEN 'TEMPORARILY' BLOCKED/STUCK, ALLOWING BACK FLOW AND SEVERE WATER HAMMER ON WELL PUMP), HAS SEEMINGLY CLEARED UP AND SYSTEM HAS RETURNED TO 'NORMAL' OPERATING RANGE(S).IF/WHEN PROBLEM RETURNS, THE 'SCHRAIBERPUMP' WILL BE INSTALLED, WITH ALL 'NEW PARTS' (250 PSI POLY DROP PIPE, SPACERS, TORQUE ARRESTOR, BRASS CONNECTORS AND WIRING); AND, IF DETERMINED NECESSARY, AN 'ALL METAL' BRASS IN-LINE CHECK VALVE.WHEN PUMP ARRIVED I CONDUCTED A GENERAL INSPECTION OF THE UNIT (CHECKING TIGHTNESS OF SCREWS, CLEAN / UNDAMAGED OUTLET THREADS, WIRING, CHECK VALVE, ETC.). I NOTED THE WIRING HAD BEEN FOLDED (FOR PACKING?). HOWEVER, WHERE THE WIRING CLEARS THE TOP EDGE OF THE PUMP BODY, THE WIRING HAD BEEN FOLDED INTO A BUNDLE (FOR PACKING?). THE FOLDED WIRE BUNDLE COULD NOT FIT INTO THE PACKAGING WITHOUT RUBBING THE WIRE INSULATION LOCATED AT THE VERY TOP OF THE PUMP BODY (MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO SPLICE AT THIS LOCATION IF THE 'RUBBING' FURTHER COMPROMISED THE OUTER INSULATION). FOLDING THE WIRING AT 'THIS' LOCATION FOR PACKAGING MAKES THE BUNDLE TO LARGE TO FIT IN THE PACKAGING WITHOUT RUBBING. SUGGEST MAKING A 'THINNER' BUNDLE WITH LONGER LOOPS THAT WOULD ALLOW THE 'BUNDLE' TO FIT INTO THE PACKAGING WITHOUT RUBBING.I ALSO NOTED THAT THE INTERNAL CHECK VALVE IS NOT ALL METAL, BUT APPEARS TO BE SOME TYPE OF NYLON PLASTIC. RECOMMEND CHANGING TO AN ALL METAL CHECK VALVE TO IMPROVE PERFORMANCE AND INCREASE PRODUCT LIFE.
