As a beginning knitter I was happy to find easy to follow directions and a good variety of patterns, along with puctures, that gave me the confidence to begin my first project.

I wanted for new stitch patterns. Not too many new ones but interesting information.

I have owned this book for 1 month have and have completed the first 25 stitch patterns. I can verify no errors in the first 25. I will finish this book in a month as I do one swatch a night. It is progressive so it is great for a beginner and I've picked up new patterns that I'm glad to have.There are swatches that show up in other stitch books I already own but so far only a couple.There are no cabling but I think toward the end there is a faux cable, there is no intarsia or fair isles, no two color swatches, it's just a good beginning foundation and building stitch book.I like collecting patterns so it stays and will get used after I'm done making every swatch.
