THIS BOOK IS MY TREASURE!!!!
THIS BOOK IS MY TREASURE!!!!I have had agoraphobia and panic disorder for decades. And as I started listening, I got so captivated. Everything was hitting home. I have the book on Audible and Kindle. But I mostly listen to it on Audible. And that narrator was able to capture the author’s emotions so perfectly. That had also captivated me. As I listened, I started to feel like wow I am not alone. Everything the author wrote was exactly what I was thinking and feeling all my life. I loved Hal’s writing style. The way he describes everything is so real. it’s like he has so much experience and knowledge. The author breaks the intensity with warm hearted humor at times. He gives you a plan. A plan to retrain your mind. What’s so nice is that anyone can do it. He is not asking for me to go and do exposure therapy but to do easy things. The book is chuck full of so much information. I have so many books on this dreadful condition. But what makes this book so different is the things Hal wants you to do. It’s not like other books on the anxiety that are so boring. This book is almost entertaining. It actually did entertain me to a degree. And I love that he put in funny things. It helped me. And the interesting part is that the author had this condition and recovered and everything he did to recover is in the book.I am so grateful to have found this book.Ruth Hayon

Definitely recommend, extremely helpful.
I have been looking for and reading lots of books on this subject. I'm still in the first few chapters but it has already started to help me when the other books never did. You have to commit yourself to the steps but it is so worth it. I can't want to see how I feel by the end of the process. Definitely recommend!! Especially because the problem with agoraphobia is how hard it is to get out, this is like going to a counselor without leaving the house!!!

Not really good tips you can apply to your life
Just skip it. Basically one person's account of being stuck. Not really good tips you can apply to your life.

Love the book
Fast shipping. Love the book. It has helped me out a lot. The author makes you feel normal. That having anxiety & agoraphobia is treatable and that you're not crazy. I cried the first few pages in because it described me to a tee. Love it!

Hal Mathew has a very nice writing style and I sailed through this book without stumbling on any of the concepts conveyed. I trusted Hal as a believable leader, through his relatable anecdotes and personal revelations to me the reader. I made lots of notes to create my own recovery plan. I loved reading about the "Very Big Trip" and have experienced the moments described when you are free, when the bungee cord attached to home let's go and you are just so happy to be away from the prison of agoraphobia. This book is a nice addition to my recovery.
