Catches but would prefer white sticky side for visibility
Successfully traps mice and lizards. I cut the traps in half on the dotted line and they work great. I usually buy Tomcat with eugenol sticky traps and prefer this smell, plus the price of the banana traps are cheaper per trap. The two traps seem to work about the same. The banana pattern is cute, but I’d prefer a sticky side that is white and blank; otherwise, with my bad eyes in the early morning, the half banana looks like a curled up animal. A catch and release is possible (with vegetable oil, one of my bantam chickens got stuck) and probably more humane. Didn’t post a picture but we definitely caught the load of mice and lizards. Yuck. Paid $27.00 for 72 sticky traps, that can be cut to make 144.

So-So, BUT you can use bait blocks and both together are great.
Some of my boards were nibbled on and no mouse was found. When I added these: MOTOMCO Tomcat Mouse and Rat Bromethalin Bait Chunx, my results were fantastic. The poison killed the mice and they stuck to the boards. I did not want to use poison because I have dogs, but you can contain where the blocks and boards are placed & keep both out of reach. Without the poison, I had to smash the mice on the heads. With the poison, they were all dead when found, so I think adding the blocks is more humane, although the whole process is horrible, no one wants to live in a poop, mouse-filled home. Plus they are destructive: they chewed the insulation around my water heater pipes and ran up into the control panel of my stove. I stuffed steel wool up in that crevice to keep them out. After I got these blocks 9 mice turned up dead, stuck to the boards, in 2 days after placing near the glue boards. You could actually stick a block in on the glue board. Being stuck to the boards makes for easy clean up and you don't have to smash them on the head when found stuck alive. You must take care to supervise pets with these, but if your house is overrun with mice, poop and chewed open food packages, you will take some risk. I was able to place these boards and blocks high up and in places where my dogs could not fit. I also left my younger dog outside more while I could get this infestation under control since our weather had gotten milder. (My older dog is extremely laid back & sleeps a lot). So to avoid terrible heartbreak: you need to have a pet plan before you place these out. I also researched the best mice proof storage containers for your garage and a nutritionist recommends the old-school galvanized steel garbage cans (Fleet Mill Farm Supply) for your food stock, clothes, books, etc. For pantry stock I have bought OXO pop top heavy plastic containers, and I am considering metal pantry boxes sold on amazon like these: http://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0019R4V1W/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3Q6E4VHF2CCNX&coliid=I24FXETDL0OTSU My farm/horse owner friend in PA states that she has been battling mice a long, long time; she has to put everything is heavy plastic bags in layers, and now the mice have even chewed off the paper labels of her canned goods :sigh: Nothing is safe -- they are even chewing styrofoam packing in one of my spare rooms (and pooped in my new suitcases), where I have also placed these blocks and shut the door from the dogs. But the boards and these blocks are very effective together, and appears to be more humane.

Quality glue boards
I was specifically looking for these glue boards since my exterminator uses them and swears by them. There's a lot of home construction going on near me, and many insects are being displaced, so of course they all come to my house. The traps do a really good job of trapping all of the insects, ants, etc..., but also catches the leaves and dirt as well. I need to replace the traps every couple of weeks. They work as they should and I have no complaints about them.

God for bugs
Good for bugs and crickets. A little light for adult mice they tend to drag it around.

Great way to catch a mouse
This is a great way to catch a mouse. It is better than poison because dead mice leave a horrible smell. Poisoned mice can die in hard to find places and leave a bad smell for a long time. I place these along the wall or in corners. Then, I dispose of the mice after they are caught. The scent cuts down on bad odor of dead mice.

Laughably Ineffective for Mice, But Great for Bugs
UPDATE - After four months of laughable ineffectiveness, it finally caught a mouse within thirty minutes of posting my review. Weird...it is almost like it knew! Anyway, upgrading to 2 stars for now.Previous review -Great quantity, appeal, and appearance for the price. Smells nice too! Sadly, in four months (bought a big box of these in July and it is now November), DID NOT CATCH EVEN ONE MOUSE!!! And it's not for lack of mice either...been seeing plenty of mice downstairs and on the staircase despite an abundance of these traps laid out. Poop all around the trap, but unlike other brands of black sticky traps which do catch mice here, this Tasty Banana seems to be good at catching only one thing...human Amazon customers! :) I will say that if you are looking for something to catch a bunch of small bugs and creepy crawlies that you had no idea were in your home, this is really good for that. Sadly, as for mice, this has been absolutely worthless in our home. Maybe our mice are smart and absolutely hate the smell of banana or peanut butter? Who knows, but one thing is for sure...it sticks to furniture with a death grip, but has been laughably pathetic and ineffective for mice here and I'm talking mice, not the larger rats. It could have been great...too bad that it doesn't work...save your money!
