Right Out Of Apocalypse Now!
I wanted two sets of Vietnam-era, military spec aviators -- squared-off bottoms rather than more rounded, biker/rocker aviators. One with silver frames to mimic the first sunglasses I ever saw my dad wear as a Naval officer, and another with gold frames, with which to dress up at Halloween as Colonel Bill Kilgore, Robert Duvall's character in Apocalypse Now ("I love the smell of napalm in the morning"). After returning seven pairs from various sellers, I hit pay dirt with both the silver frames and the gold frames I purchased here. All previous purchases were way too big -- no matter what the listed dimensions -- and far too "tall" from the top of the lens to the bottom. These are dead-on representations of 1960's aviators: proportionate on the face and squared at the bottom. Their spring hinge arms are synonymous with quality sunglasses; they snap back to their original tightness and don't get stretched by the head. The polarized lenses offer great glare reduction, yet aren't so dark as to obscure detail.Note: If undecided between the silver frames with the gray lenses and the gold frames with the green lenses, I'll say that the green lenses offer a hair more darkness and will better hide your eyes from others, if that's what you're into. I'm stoked to have both pairs! - (Was this review of use to you? If so, let me know by clicking "Helpful." Cheers!)

Military Spec Aviators, '60's Old School
I wanted two sets of old school, Vietnam-era, military spec aviators (you know, the ones with more squared-off bottoms rather than more traditionally-rounded, biker/rocker aviators). One with silver frames to mimic the first sunglasses I ever saw my dad wear as a Naval officer. And another with gold frames, with which to dress up at Halloween as Colonel Bill Kilgore, Robert Duvall's character in Apocalypse Now ("I love the smell of napalm in the morning"). After buying and returning literally seven pairs from various online sites, I finally hit absolute pay dirt with these silver frames with gray lenses - right of out my old man's midlife wardrobe. Overjoyed, I then satisfied my inner Kilgore by buying the gold frames too (they have green lenses). This review covers the silver frames with the gray lenses. They're a perfectly dead-on representation of 1960's military aviators, and for ridiculously great value (all my previous purchases led to sunglasses that were way too big, no matter what the listed dimensions, and in particular, far too "tall" from the top of the lens to the bottom - and this despite the fact my face is large!). These are proportionate on the face in every way. And the lenses are historically accurate: squared at the bottom, not too rounded. As a huge inadvertent bonus, the arm hinges are of a spring design synonymous with quality sunglasses - they snap back to their original tightness and don't get stretched out by the head. The lenses are indeed polarized, offering great sun and glare reduction, yet aren't so dark as to obscure detail. You know that feeling when you've been looking for something for so long, and you've returned item after item before finally hitting that online shopping jackpot? That was my experience with these, and I got them for less expense than lunch at the deli. I'm elated, if you can't tell.

Excellent Glasses themselves, but...
Excellent glasses themselves, but there are a few things to know... They look great, are polarized and do their job well but the first pair I ordered arrived with a loose and nearly broken nose piece. Amazon sent a replacement that was in perfect condition but as another reviewer had a similar issue, there may be a quality control or packaging issue somewhere along the line. Also disappointing is that the black container pictured is NOT a glasses case, but a thin cardboard box in the shape of a glasses case. I was fooled. All that is included is a cleaning cloth and a soft bag that does nothing to protect the glasses and may have been responsible for the broken first pair. You'll need to supply your own case.As much as these little things annoyed me, I'm so happy with the glasses themselves that I can't knock off any stars. If you don't have any spare cases lying around or can't handle possibly needing to have a replacement sent if you're unlucky like me, these could be a hassle. However, I am more than happy in the end.

Great sunglasses, not super well built! (Update: they fixed it!)
Update: The seller sent me a message asking if they could send me a replacement and I happily accepted! I was not only greeted with a functional replacement but an extra pair of sunglasses in a different color! A+ handling for sure!I’ve been using these sunglasses for the past few weeks while on vacation. Been on boats, in pools, and in heavy winds and they haven’t once fallen off by accident. The style is great and the clarity is just fine. The only issue I’ve come across is how one lens likes to fall out quite a bit. Even when just cleaning it off with the supplied microfiber, the lens jumps out of the frame and I am forced to put it back in with my fingers and clean it once again. It seems that the frame simply doesn’t hold them in very well. When I move my head, I can feel that lens shuffling in the frame. The other lens is just fine and quite sturdy, so I image that this is just a one-off defect.

Style over substance
The only reason I bought is because these look similar to what Michael Westen wears on Burn Notice. They fit very loose and crooked. Don't wear them during bright sunny days. For that, you need much better sunglasses than these.

Very nice sunglasses!
Got these because they looked like the ones from Burn Notice. Happy with the quality and fit. Lenses are very clear.

Great fit and look
Because of the spring loaded hinges the sunglasses do not slip down the nose. They also look very nice.

Fits great, looks great, and great price. Always losing sunglasses so refuse to pay for name brands anymore
