Not too big and not too small at the same time - just fits necely in the palm of your hand. The sound is of quite high tonality but could be changed by partially filling it with water if needed. Comes with a green cussion stand and wooden mallet. The mallet looks like bamboo material (not 100% sure) wrapped with suedde. The bowl is well made and doesn't have the mass produced feel to it more handmade which I love about it.
