Great little easel!👌
I love this easel! I was looking for an upgrade from my cheapo A frame easel. For under $80, it definitely surpassed my expectations. It's heavy duty and well built and it functions in exactly the way I needed it to. Since it was so cheap in price, I figured it would last a year, but I'm confident this easel will be around for a long time.Putting it together was a little frustrating as nothing is marked and the directions are mostly useless...looking at the Amazon photo display helped alot. It took me about an hour altogether just figuring out which piece goes where, but it went pretty smoothly over all. From the reviews, I was thinking I would probably throw it out the window from frustration, but really it wasn't that difficult to figure out all by myself. I recommend this product.

100% FANTASTIC easel! Negative reviews are bogus.
This easel is gorgeous and of high quality, easily worth much more, especially knowing the cheap ones from the craft store sell for $150+. Contrary to other reviews, it was very simple to assemble, assuming you have enough deductive skills to use the labeled images in the directions to assemble the pieces, using the tools they even provide for you ( I'm saying this because I find it hard to believe that anyone has a hard time assembling this unless they are a millennial or have the IQ of a turnip....the negative revies are obviously one or the other). Seriously, though, it's easy to put together ( similar to assembling Ikea furniture) and it's sturdy, light, and attractive. I'm excited to use it!

HORRIBLE INSTRUCTION MANUAL, but great product overall.
Overall, I’m extremely happy with the quality of product. Money well spent. My only MAJOR complaint...THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE TRASH!!!I mean the drawings of steps were beyond unclear, nothing was labeled so I had many trial & errors with pieces turned wrong way or mix up with screws. What I thought would take 30min to an hour took 2HOURS!!!! And I’m nowhere near ignorant to DIY projects....pretty handy actually! The manual is just all around horrible! At one point I just tossed it aside and googled “video users manual floor easel ST38476”. I pretty just used the video I found to put it together. The instructions were absolutely NO HELP whatsoever!!!!Good luck!Good luck!!!

Invest wisely in artistic supplies, this is professional grade, not a toy.
I don't do assemblies, however I was informed it took awhile to connect the dots. This is my 1st pro.easel and other than wanting to transport it constantly(I use daylite morning sun-afterevening indoor lights) it weighs enough to be difficult so to constantly be moving it-. transportation is awkward;)in the use, raising and lowering the frame I'm more than happy. Although it sounds as I am complaining, this is one of the best investments I've purchased to acquire a healthier painting arena.;it simply is wise to adhere to working in one place.

Misleading instructions! Wasted so much time
I was reading one reviewer about "you need engineering degree to assemble these", and now I realized he's not joking. The instructions named all the screws and parts but the way they packaged is a total mess. I had to use my ruler and converted from inch to mm in order to find the first 65mm screw! And went to their website, amazon description to find videos but no luck, Later I checked Youtube video and kinda got some idea. But still I had to take part of what I already did because it's opposite, but there's no way to tell on instruction! It's supposed to be easy assembly but wasted so much time making mistakes. Seller: among all beautiful images you posted on Amazon, why don't you post a useful video? It's a good product overall but why don't you spend a little effort improving your instructions? I'm sure over 50% buyer got fed up and returned all due to the poor assembly experience.

Sturdy and Good for the $$
This is a very sturdy easel, much better than a tripod and takes up less floor space. I think I am going to get a lot of use out of it. Very worth the price. I am pretty good at assembly but must admit this one was a little challenging. It took about 40 minutes. If you have assembly issues or need detailed instructions, you may want to enlist help. Still worth it.

Horrible instructions.
I’ll start with issue number one. The instructions are horrible. The only “legend” in the instructions is for the screws and nuts and they don’t really tell you at all what is what. The photos of the parts and how they go together are so basic you can hardly understand what part is what. Problem number two, I was missing parts in the hardware bag and had extra of others. The third issue also lies in the instructions. The order of assembly was so off. I had to take things apart at the end to get the final main part on. The instructions however showed it as a simple slide in place step but that was impossible.Seriously, whoever you hired to design your instructions needs to be fired. I’ve had an easier time setting up idea furniture. As for the easel itself, I like it. The wood is good quality, it’s sturdy and strong. Only big thing I’ve found that’s annoying is it is very top heavy. I have to let it lean again a wall so it doesn’t tip back. Just wish the instructions were clearer because if there’s one thing that’ll make someone hate a product, is bad instructions.

Heavy Assemby
If you have put together IKEA furniture, this is more difficult. Many parts. No written instructions, Very poor visual pictural instructions. Wouldn't buy again.
