This glowing grip tape is perfect for dark rooms - we are using it in our theatre audience seating. The sandpaper-style grip seems to work really well on steps, and the glow is surprisingly good too. I was worried the glow would be an ineffective gimmick but it actually works - after charging up with our flourescent room lighting it lasts for at least an hour of glow. The strength of the tape stickiness seems very good in the first 6 weeks of use (I will update this review if it starts to peel, but all looking good so far). It's not very easy to use - it was difficult to remove the backing paper to apply the tape. It also seemed to give off a slight fishy smell for the first week. We are using it indoors. I don't think it is waterproof, so I wouldn't use it outdoors. I bought this to make steps for my family visible for those whose sight and mobility is getting impaired. So far, it has been great for adhesion on external steps. It's essentially a roll of very specific tape that can be cut to length. To use it, you measure the length you need, cut using scissors or shears that you don't mind ruining (the grip material is pretty tough), and then peeling off the backing before pressing it firmly on the step. I recommend a dry day (with a period of dry beforehand) and brushing down the surface to remove loose dust and dirt, then pressing down on the tape afterwards with your feet to get a good bond. Very porous surfaces will give you a problem - it didn't work on old brickwork steps as the surface was too unstable. You shouldn't expect this to be a permanent solution. If you are using this outdoors the water will eventually win - indoors it will last much longer. The glow strip is very bright, and even when the glow is finished the strip still makes the edge of the step more visible. The grips are very effective. It definitely helps with those with unstable legs who have problems with balance. Cost per use seems pretty good - it's been stuck to my front steps since I bought it and no sign of it coming away. I'll keep tabs on this and update this review as to durability.

I put this on my outside steps and it certainly works, it shows up brilliantly especially coming down the steps as they are white and before I couldn’t define the edges I have since become less steady on my feet and it gives a good grip on the edge of the steps for me

Reasonable product does what it said it would. Some difficulty getting backing off.

Used on outdoor steps and it eventually started to lift, we managed to seal it back down with some No Nails, excellent result for the stairs in the dark.

Bought this in October and stuck it on my ramp and it’s peeled off allready. Not suitable for outside use

Great for seeing were the edge of the steps start & end in a darkened area were sun hits it during the day, with excellent grip no more falling over.

Habe das Band eben gerade verklebt und bin begeistert. Unsere neu verkleidete Treppe wird von stark sehbehinderten/ blinden Menschen genutzt und hatte am Ende leider zu wenig Kontrast. Nachdem das Band super einfach anzubringen war und gut klebt, ist die Treppe nun kein Problem mehr, sichtbarer, keine Sturzgefahr mehr, kein Ausrutschen. Ob das Band auch dauerhaft hält, weiß ich noch nicht. Werde später berichten. Absolute Empfehlung für stark sehbehinderte Menschen :-) Wir werden es bestimmt noch an vielen anderen Stellen nutzen, die gefährlich sind, wenn ich weiß, ob es auch lange stand hält.

La compré para señalizar un pequeño escalón en la oficina, que no se veía muy bien y a ves los clientes se tropezaban. Es antideslizante y se ve bien. Eso sí, cuidado si lo aplicáis con las manos desnudas, porque la superficie es rugosa y abrasiva, y acabé con los dedos despellejados cuando la puse.
