I've struggled to find a good phone or tablet holder for ages now, and this little guy is the best one I have ever found. Yes, it has some jitter to it, they all do, but it's got a fairly intuitive system for setting an iPad or Android tablet in it, and it can even shrink enough to hold a phone too.As for how long it's been lasting, I've put mine through the paces in a 2013 Fiat 500. 6,000+ miles in under 4 months, and it's been rock solid, despite it being made from cheap plastic, while holding an iPad Mini 6th Generation. That's not a light tablet, either.Might order a second one, just in case something does happen. Be sure to pull the bracket away before just trying to pull the tablet out, the rubber feet that hold it still on the clamp for the device will come off.

The rotation crank to tighten or loosen the tool is cheap plastic I don't use it a lot and it already broke in half. It does work overall though.

Dont waste your money. I purchased this to hold a wireless portable 7in car stereo I purchased for my car. Not only did it not fit but the stereo fell right out. I did not want to go through the trouble of returning it, my time is worth more than $20, so I tried it with my cell, backing out of my driveway, my phone fell and landed at my feet almost under the accelerator. I put my car in park, picked up my cell and started the return. The springs are not tight enough to hold a cell, the arm sticks out too far, and go over a bump and the whole thing falls out. Save your money, but if you do buy it, test it 1st, if this fell while I was on the road, I would not be able to pull over and pick it up, my cell would be broken, and I doubt the makers would replace my cell. You have been warned, do not buy this piece of junk.

Hard to tell from the description but it was one very key feature. In addition to the buttons to adjust size, there is also a spring loaded feature which allows you to add or remove a device without having to reach around for the buttons. Very convenient.One pretty minor issue: the fit between the CD mount and the clamp jiggles a bit. Makes the device bounce up and down a little while driving. I added a tiny bit of paper to shim it up nice and tight. Works well now.

If you plan on using anything heavier than a normal sized phone this holder will shake like crazy. It’s takes a lot of figuring out to make it the way you want and even once you get it there any movement in the car will make it hard to look at. It may be my car but for ford fusion 2012 I’m able to pull it out of the cd slot with a little force so I don’t think it’s that secure or very tight. I’ll be using it for lunch breaks to watch some shows but I couldn’t imagine having this thing on while driving. (This review is mainly for tablets!)
