Will this work on my refrigerator?

This is mounted with screws and I would not want to mount anything with screws to my refrigerator.

Silly question but how do normal knives stick on the magnet? Are there special knives for this?

Mine are nothing fancy and stick great! Simple test would be to see if a magnet sticks to them I would think that would tell you if it would work. It is a pretty powerful magnet I think!

Do you have to have a drill to install it?

Yes; you definitely should mount it on a sturdy wall. For that you do need a drill.

Will it stick to the frig?

It won't stick to the fridge on its own but I bought self adhesive magnet tape from Amazon and applied it to the back of the magnet bar. Works perfectly and stays on the fridge well.
