Does NOT contain 2.5% retinol *by C***. on Reviewed in the United States on September 3, 2019* There is nothing wrong with this product, per se, it is just false advertising. It clearly does not contain 2.5% retinol, for several reasons. Firstly, high concentrations of retinol have a bleaching effect on colored fabrics. (Prescription retinols often post a warning about that.) This product does not do that. Also, 2.5% is an extremely high concentration of retinol, which is a very powerful ingredient. If you haven't already been using retinol, almost all people would find at least small amount of dryness and irritation with 2.5% if you don't ease into it slowly. It's just the science of retinol. You can put large quantities of this product on multiple times a day with no effects. There is no agency that makes companies selling products like this prove what their ingredients are, so basically they can claim whatever they want. I highly suspect some of the thousands of reviews about the results are fake, (which is quite common with an Amazon product with thousands of perfect reviews that's from a basically unknown company.) If you want more of a guarantee you're getting the ingredients you pay for, I would recommend a more reputable brand. Used a similar product before and it worked really good. I'm sure this will work the same minus that price Already know it'll continue to work positively on my face since I'm a strong stickler about product I use on it and received compliments for years about my skin and how I maintain it.
