A decent poker chip, not quite up to professional grade
These chips have a good heft, but don't fully encapsulate the feel of the chips you'd find at your favorite casino, but do come close. I chose this pattern because of my collection of Hard Rock Cafe items. These chips have that vibe, and look pretty good. Two of the chips that came in had mispainting issues, one was broken, and one came from a completely different set. I reached out to the manufacturer to determine how to get replaced. So far they haven't contacted me back. Their website has said "under maintenance" for several days, so I'm thinking that's not a good sign. But despite the mispainting, the affected chips are playable. I just feel that if I'm paying for a product like this, each chip should be of the same consistent quality. Should I actually hear back from the manufacturer and get the chips replaced, I'll update the review accordingly, but for now I can't give as good of marks as I'd otherwise like to.*EDIT* While the Claysmith website is up but saying "under maintenance" in reality they were purchased by Brybelly. If you call the toll-free number, it will connect you with Brybelly. I finally got a representative on the phone ("Antoinette") who had email Brybelly a photo of the damaged/misprinted chips. As of now, they are out of stock on the $5 chips, she has offered to replace the $1 chips only. While I understand stock issues, these are obvious misprints, and I'd rather not have QC errors in my collection. The ball is in their court, and I'll apprise if these are made good on.Pros:Good weight gives it the feel of a real chip.Looks reasonably close to the real deal.Cons:$5 color is very burgundy red, most casinos are more cherry.Sharp ridge along the side will wear, and take the side paint with it.Quality control issues.
