Has a soft silicone feel to it, not slick, rigid or hard plastic. Slipped on easy and should stay put. It looks nice too. Note however that it is not quite as glossy as depicted in the picture from the seller. More of a matte-silicone finish. The hasp/clip thing is also not depicted well. Nice quality, but it is larger than appears from the picture. Almost as long as the cover itself. I decided to not use it and just attach a regular split-ring instead. Note that the screw that is used to attach it fit well, but I would worry about it staying in place. If I were to use it I would tighten it firmly and keep an eye on it for awhile. If it loosens up you might have to put a half drop of lock-tite on the screw.
