Looks great, good basic song guide
Looks great, colors are very true to Ocarina of Time design. Included bag in a nice storage option. Song book gives basic guidance, but will probably take practice getting used to unique design and finger layout. Loud, so be aware of your neighbors when practicing, good sound quality takes a good amount of air support. Great as either a collectable shelf ornament or for actual playing for Zelda fans.

Good value for price
Tuning seems to be ever so slightly off, requires really careful playing and technique to make sure you stay on key. However, you CAN make the instrument work.Good quality materials, handy bag, nice design - for $18 you cannot beat it

Honestly not bad for the price, but your mileage may vary.
I don't know if I just got a lucky ocarina or what, but I haven't had any of the issues that other reviewers have had with this ocarina.Tuning ranges from passable to slightly off. It is properly in the key of C. The very bottom and very top notes are a little off even when compensating with your air pressure. Not too off but noticeable if you're playing in a group or are a seasoned musician and are sensitive to tuning. The very top notes have a bit of a hiss to them but it's not that bad if you're not playing professionally.Aesthetically, it's beautiful. It's not an exact replica: the ocarina of time is a 7 hole and more baby blue than the dark blue here, but this is still a pretty and simple looking ocarina. A perfect replica is available on Songbird Ocarina and it is $108.The carrying bag is pretty cheap and the included string for the neck is literally just random string you can find anywhere, but it's still nice to have though I recommend you upgrade both of them if you plan on taking the ocarina outside with you.I have heard many horror stories involving these ocarinas however. There is a chance that I just got very lucky and was sent one that works very well. I wouldn't recommend you buy one of these if you're expecting it to be a perfect instrument, but if you have a passing interest in trying an ocarina without spending too much, I'd give it a shot and return it if it's defective.Mine, I'm very happy with it.

Zelda loving Son LOVES it
We purchased this as a Christmas gift for my seven year old and he absolutely loves it. He's always attempting to learn how to play on his own and thanks to the helpful instruction booklet, that makes it a little easier for him to follow, but he also loves to play on his own and make it up as he goes. It is a good quality, made of ceramic, and is a beautiful color. All in all, it was a great purchase.

Called Epona all the way from Hyrule!
Bought it April 13th and it came the next day, I love this thing so much, I'm trying to learn and it's not very difficult to understand especially because I'm not musically talented at all and I can already pick it up pretty well, it sounds great and the material feels solid and comes with a string to put around your neck if you want to travel with it and not risk it dropping. My only complaint is the carrying bag, mostly because I do not care for suede anything, but it's a personal opinion and the bag isn't garbage material, it's a solid piece overall and was definitely worth my 17 bucks!!!

Not correct size
While this ocarina is beautiful, it is not to a full sized ocarina. I was hoping to replace the one someone had taken from me and ordered this. Getting the notes correct is hard because they are too small and my fingers can fit over multiple holes. I suggest reading these and determining if you want the functionality or cosmetics more. It looks beautiful, but is not really playable.

Awesome gift for Zelda fans!
I wish I had a video of my brother opening this as a really late Christmas gift. Not only did he loose his mind over seeing a good replica of something from our favorite game but when he realized he could actually play it and it came with a song book was just the cherry on top!! If you're looking for a professional instrument this isn't for you. But if you like Zelda, this is a great collector peice and it's fun to play. I would highly recommend, especially for the price!

Very satisfying purchase!
I recently got mine and I would like to say that I am very happy with this purchase. I did a lot of bouncing around between various types of ocarinas before deciding on this one. The instrument in itself is beautiful with rich color and a clean finish. The sound is also clear and precise so long as you know how to play it. I was worried because I had seen some reviews stating that their ocarina was out of tune, however I think that this may have been caused because of an unclear understanding of how to play it. This may be a common problem because the ocarina is pretty small so covering the finger holes properly took some practice, but once I got the fingering and breathing down the sound was very crisp. Now, I am no professional with wind instruments, and I would recommend that new players look up how to properly hold and breathe into the instrument (pureocarina.com has very good explanations about how to use the ocarina). However, as a casual musician and Legend of Zelda fan I am very satisfied.
