This time, we went with a 2700k, which is far more pleasant. It takes a few minutes to get to full brightness, but when it does, it's a bright yet warm color. Since we have yellow walls, next time we'll try 3000k. I was not happy with either the blue light of 4000K or the luminousity that was generated by the bulbs that were installed, so I decided to change them from 24 watt to 32 watt. What I wanted was not available locally so I purchased them on Amazon.Removing the old bulbs, I broke the first one at the base, as I thought they had a screw base... Oh, well. This new bulb, at 3000K, has a much warmer light than the 4000K, not as yellow as the 2700, but definitely in the same range. They are brighter, and they do the trick.
