    Centuries of History in One Game

I own Imperium Romanim II and purchased this as my copy of the second edition has deteriorating components (played the game since I purchased it in 1991).  This update is excellent.  The components have nice, upgraded graphics.  There are some rules updates.  The new rule book is well organized compared to the second edition rule book.  This is an excellent purchase for anyone who enjoyed wargames and Roman history.

This a game that employs three large maps (Each one 22" x 34")  I have limited space for playing games.  My kitchen table can only accommodate a two map scenario.  I was told by the publisher that there would be several one map scenarios.  When I got the game I found that it had 41 scenarios and only one of them employed a single map.  There were only two, 2 map scenarios.  Not a good game if one has limited space.  Sold my copy to a friend who has a large table to play on.
