I needed a new cutting mat at a3 size, I have an a5 one, after reviews for others, I was skeptical I could get a decent one. However, this one is perfect, it is flexible enough but sturdy and can handle many cuts, it is self healing and doesn't slice through the material. I only use an emboss cutter and craft scalpels(knives), which can chop a finger off if you aren't concentrating.I am very happy with this mat, I use nearly daily (say every other day), I also use it to roll and measure/cut clay on and it doesn't stick to surface. Overall great price, quite accurate, has both metric and imperial measurements and is a very sturdy and firm. Does it's job!

Size, shape and the self healing property are all great! The overall quality is to a high standard and ideal for all arts and crafts. Im a prop maker and this is the best cutting mat I have owned. Will buy again

Only ever used cheapy A4 cutting mats from a local market previously ( quite hard and poor 'self-healing' )The A3 Ansio double-sided is of a far better quality, good firmness, but not stiff enough to be prone to cracking. Heals well from the usual 'digs' when cutting the parts from a sprue ( i make and detail model kits with a decent amount of scratchbuilding involved as well )Firm enough to 'slice' tiny parts from PEB frets, with minimum distortion to the parts, but has enough 'give' when pressing into PEB to form strengthening 'ribs' using blunt needles or a ballpoint pen as the 'pressing' tool.Will definitely buy another Ansio mat if/when i need a replacement. :)

I live in an apartment so I don't want to make a mess when I'm modelling, and with this mat I saved a lot of time (and paper) that I would use to set up and maintain my little workshop. It serves me pretty well. As a bonus it can on occasion be pretty solid mouse mat!
