Our remote for a 16 year old Panasonic TV eventually died. This replacement worked straight away, is well constructed and for just under £6 what is there not to like? It looks very like the original and the buttons work smoothly and accurately.

Battery compartment doesn't keep the batteries snug. I had to stick a long bit of paper in it to keep them from working loose and the remote not working.

My original Panasonic TV remote broke and I discovered a genuine replacement was over £30. I was suspicious of this remote because I know just how many corners can be cut in the production of these cheap copies. But the price was so low it was worth a gamble. When it arrived I could immediately see the plastics were cheap and the case had partially come apart but it clipped back together OK. There were no markings for battery orientation but I figured out they went the opposite way from the original remote. Then I tested every button and they all worked. I was very pleased because this was exactly what I wanted - a cheap copy remote that worked.Some time later and it's still working fine, although I am careful not to drop it as I'm not sure how robust it it. And I haven't had it long enough to assess battery life. But it works fine and I'm happy with that. The cheap feel of the plastic doesn't bother me really. It would have got 5 stars if the case fit together better and there were battery orientation markings.

This remote has the same buttons as my much more expensive previous official Panasonic remote - well, the buttons may have slightly different dimensions, but they are all there. The back of the remote is rougher and the overall feel is perhaps slightly lighter, but a casual glance would make you think the remotes were identical apart from the Panasonic labelling. The important thing is that as far as I can see at present it does the job at a fraction of the cost of an official remote.
