Personally I love the waxed look/feel/textured finish as it gives it a true ‘wood’ look and feel but it is worth noting that they are not totally smooth or ‘varnished’. And as others have commented they are heavy - but I reasoned wood should be, so a definite plus point! Delivery was quick, trackable and no problems were encountered at all.
