Very good and full of seeds and all the nutrients birds need to sustain them.
Why did you choose this product over others?: Tried many brands, and this is by far the best, the wild birds love them and queue up to have their share, this product is full of the vital nutrients that help birds get through the colder months when other food is scarce. More expensive than other brands but cheaper brands are not as good, they’re hard and chalky, and the birds stopped eating them! which says it all.

Excellent bird food but there are reservations
I have to admit the prospect of pay £10 for a pack of suet fatballs did seem a little questionable. After all, £10 will usually buy you a much larger pack and previous experience has shown the birds really liked them. Well the birds absolutely loved these, including 2 rather smart crows that now make regular appearances. I looked out the window one morning to find one crow flying off with the feeder with 3 balls in it!! So, the contents pass that test with flying (in this case, literally!) colours. My gripe was with the consistency which is rather too brittle (like a cake that is too dry) and that means they break easily. This was obvious in the box I received where 3 were in various states of disintegration. Now they they can be used on the feeder , but the aim was to receive balls that go in a fat-ball feeder (had to buy a new one and cable tie it to the feeder station!) Also, I know this is marketed as a premium product, and the packaging reflects this, but why not design packaging that protects that product? Overall. Good, but they need to improve to justify the price.

Birds love them, however they also love the peckish ones and you get 50 peckish balls for the same price!

Great fat balls, packed and very soft. A bit pricey but worth it.

Wholesome bird food
I must have been living under a rock or something but I genuinely hadn’t realised that the average fat balls contain so much rubbish material, even the likes of glue! (Read the description of this product where it explains why and how it’s different) One thing’s for sure, they usually stink! I was a bit sceptical when ordering these “dumplings”, I mean how different can they be...? But the reviews seemed mostly very good and I thought I should at least try them. I’m so glad I did! The “dumplings” arrived in perfect condition, no crumbling, there’s a lot of them in the box and they look good, and to my surprise they smell really wholesome! Amazon wanted me to rate the flavour too, well that would be a step too far but suffice to say I was tempted to try them, they smell so nice :) I placed them in the garden yesterday, this morning birds were all over the feeder, so I think they approve! A bit pricier than the supermarket bought bucket full of fat balls, but those usually smell bad and don’t contain seeds like these “dumplings”. I’m glad that they are manufactured in the UK and sold by a UK company, to me it’s important to support local businesses (even if I do it through Amazon). My only criticism would be that I didn’t see any storage instructions or “use by” dates on the packaging; I appreciate that it’s not food for human consumption but still, it would be good to store and use it appropriately. All in all, it’s a great product and I will definitely buy some more when these are gone.

Birds Love Them
These are quite expensive fat balls, however there is never any waste, unlike some fat balls that are wuite hard and not as appetising for the birds that they go mouldy as out too long The birds really enjoy these, they are soft but don't break and crumble out of the feeder; plenty of seeds etc. These are the only fat balls I will buy now.
