Good product but there is a learning curve. It took a good amount of practice to get it right. Luckily I made 200 tamales that day so I got my practice in and I was a pro by the 30th or so. Great value for the price and if you make a lot of tamales.

The spreader was shipped fast and packed well. The spreader worked as shown in the video. The spreader did not work for (MY) needs. The guides are much too short to leave a thick layer of masa when pushed down. You can hold the spreader up off the guides to leave a thicker layer of masa, but that defeats why I purchased the spreader. It is a great idea and may work for you.

These things are awesome, but the lip makes the tamales just a tad thinner than I like my masa. Also, the color may be totally random. Not that it matters but mine were decidedly hot pink and not red.They work and make absolutely repeatable tamales (at least the masa).

This product makes making tamales a breeze. It took no time to get used to. Pretty neet tool

Once I got the hang of how much masa to use and how much pressure to put down it was easy. I think I will use these everytime. These cut my tamale making time by so much. I wish I had these years ago. My husband and I did about 100 tamales in 45 min.

I like to make tamales for my family every year, but it so much work. I bought this finally and it made spreading masa so much easier. I was finished sooner than expected. It makes helps to spread evenly and quickly. Im going to buy a few more for my mom and niece.
