The construction good quality (although you will have to snap the two parts together out of the box, they fit easy and snug) two springs close the jaws with a snap. The length is good. I am 5'11" and I do not need to bend much at all. The previous review seemed concerned with the bags, but I have never used the little plastic bags with my scooper, I just us an old paper bag while I clean up.
