Outstanding Product
I restore antique radios as a hobby. I had a radio that had a missing piece of veneer on the right hand side of the cabinet on the lower front side. The cabinet for this radio has such beautiful wood that I really needed to make the repair and do it correctly. I purchased the Coconix Floor and Furniture Repair Kit figuring the best I could do was to fill the hole and throw some paint on it and hope for the best. Well something different actually happened. I filled in the hole (crater) with the Coconix putty and let it dry for about 2 hours. The results were as expected, l the repair stood out like a sore thumb. Disappointed but I was not really worried at this point as I still had the ability to mix the paint and had high hopes that I could at least hide the putty as much as I could. Now mixing the paint was fun. The paint is supplied is packaged in small easy to handle tubes with a very fine nozzle that allows you to squeeze out just the amount of paint you need instead of making more of the paint mix you would need. After a few tries with various different colors I obtained a match that was so close to the original cabinet color that it was difficult to see where the repair was. The paint was still a little thick for surface painting, I could have used the supplied spatula, but I decided to add a bit is water to the paint which worked out well. This allowed me to provide finite paint job with exacting results and not over painting the repair area. I needed to simulate the wood grain of the cabinet and used the darkest color in the kit and a very fine artist brush to complete the detail work After the paint dried I really could not tell where the repair was made. In the past I just used toner over wood putty for repairs, yep you could still see the repair but at least I attempted to complete the repair. I now I have a better solution that is easy to use and provides exacting results. The Coconix Floor and Furniture Repair Kit is a simple cost effective and yet a total repair solution for my restoration projects. It is easy to use if you follow the directions. Remember if you use the putty to follow the directions as it will harden rapidly. I found the paint dries a bit darker than needed, so mix the paint a tad lighter than needed. If you make a mistake with the color don’t worry as a bit of water on a clean cloth will remove your miss-judgement in color,. Just adjust the color and move on. This is a great product and they even offer and E-Book on how to use their product.

Easy to use; Fixed Scratch in Hardwood Floor
This product worked surprisingly well on my damaged hardwood floor. I had a long jagged scratch in my hardwood flooring that I tried to patch, which didn't work out at all. I did some research on Amazon and came across this product. It was the video that convinced me that this product would work, and it absolutely did. Using the color chart that comes with the kit, I blended a few of the wood colors that I needed to get a close match to the color of the hardwood that I was preparing to fix. It wasn't very hard to come close to what I needed. Once applied to the scratch I used my finger to blend the color into the wood. It came out so nice, I ended up blending the entire plank with the color that I mixed in and it looks amazing. After it dried, I used 2 coats of Minwax Water Based Polycrylic Finish - Clear Satin. The result is amazing. You can't tell that there was ever a scratch and you would really need to examine the floor closely to see that the one plank isn't the original flooring. Amazing product, and I would use this again for furniture, floor and whatever else I thought this product could help me fix. So if you have tried the wax pens for wood repair that are horrible to work with and look terrible, or tried some other "wood repair" kit and none have done what they were supposed to, then this product is definitely worth purchasing. If you follow the instructions and use the color mixing chart you will get close to or almost exactly to the color of the wood that you are repairing. And it's easy to use!!

I’m impressed, worked well for us!
Overall I’m super happy with this product! We just installed snap together “hardwood” floors and had an accident where a heavy mirror fell over and chipped a piece of the wood. Tearing up the entire section was out of the question so I ordered this product based on the high reviews in hopes it would make this chip less noticeable. My husband told me to “sharpie” the chip but I’m a bit of a perfectionist so sharpie was not going to cut it. The directions for this were super simple and I found color matching to be relatively easy. I applied the putty first (a little bit awkward and trial by error but I think I ended up doing it right). Let it dry overnight to be sure then mixed up the paint (if it was real hardwood or any other area I would have sanded it for smoothness first but I couldn’t do that. The only issue I had which may have been user error was the paint was pretty thick and a bit goopy going on. It was difficult to get the area smooth with the paint brush used. Next time I might use one of my own little brushes. The color was a bit darker than I had hoped for but that was entirely my mixing not the products fault. Here is a finished picture. No it’s not perfect but it is good enough for me and much better than just a sharpie. Hopefully this will protect the floor chipped area better than a marker. Now I’m looking around at other furniture pieces that have been scratched or chipped knowing I’ve got the tools to mend them!! Because I was so impressed with this I decided to order also the company’s brown leather/vinyl patch kit as our recliner has a hole and so does my leather seat in my car! I’ll be excited if I can patch these without having to buy a new chair or pay high reupholster price for my car seat.

Difficult to work with, but fixed my ikea cabinet
I'll preface this review with the fact that i had to get 2 kits. the putty on the first one was so dry that it was crumbly, it wouldnt mix well, and it was unfit for use in the repair. so i returned it and got a second one (thanks amazon), which still had dryish putty but this time it was workable enough. beware that you might get an "expired" kit! I hope the manufacturer can find a better way to store the putty. both times the putty smelled a little fishy and was really hard to wash off. I bought this kit because it had yellow and blue repair paint, and i am fixing a grey-green (nickebo) ikea door that we drilled a few too many holes into. none of the other kits i looked at had a good range of colors. the whole repair took about 3 hours, including a 1 hour cure for the putty. it takes a little artistic skill to color match the paint, but in the end i was able to get a pretty decent color match. the paint dries much darker than it appears when it goes on, so i recommend getting a close match then adding a bunch of white to lighten it. also beware that the tubes are a little flimsy and too much squeezing will cause them to explode! all in all, the kit was a little difficult and finnicky to use, but i am pleased with the end result. the holes are less noticeable, which is all i can ask for from a kit that was $16. if you get this kit, i have some tips: 1) the putty hardens very quickly, if you have many small holes to repair, i recommend mixing small amounts at a time. 2) after you get a paint match, add a bunch of white. it darkens a few shades as it dries. one of the photos shows one of the color match attempts when it is fresh and dry. 3) use your finger to smooth out and blend the repair paint, its better than the brush and washes off easily 4) if you are trying to get a nickebo color match, i used like half a tube of white, a good spatula full of yellow, half a spatula of blue, a bit of oak, and maybe half a spatula of black. it took a lot of trial and error.

Worked great!
Worked great for what I needed. The exterior of the putty was a little dry, but the inside was fine and maliable. I filled my floor gouges and let the putty dry overnight. I carefully took an exacto blade to cut off any buldges or excess. The paint was thick but mixed to just the right color and dried fast! It all seemed to adhere well. We shall see over time, but all in all I am quite pleased with the results and highly recommend this product!

Worked Great for My Wood Floor
A large "splinter" came out of my medium dark wood floor. The area revealed by the splinter was noticeably lighter than the wood floor so I wanted to cover it up. It was most noticeable just by looking at the floor when walking on it. The coverup didn't have to be perfect: just close enough that you didn't immediately notice the lighter area when walking on the floor. This product was easy to work with. The best part was the color matching picture, which shows how various colors of wood can be achieved by mixing particular colors of the product. There is some trial and error involved, but not much. After mixing the colors I applied the resulting mixture to the floor using the small brush provided. I did this very slowly, moving the small brush in one direction. After I was done and the colors dried, I could no longer pick out where on the floor the repair had been made. Sure, if I put my face right next to the area I fixed I can see some repair but otherwise, the repair is not noticeable. Great product, very happy with it.

Saved the floor
Waited a while to write this review as I wanted to be sure. Literally the day after our laminate flooring was installed I dropped a sample of the quartz countertop, and left a ding right in front of the kitchen sink. It was obvious. I purchased this kit in an effort to not have to pay to have someone else fix my mistake. The service provided was excellent. Before I even received my kit I was told that I could send a picture and they would provide assistance. The only issue with doing so is that the lighting wasn't right, which I think made their recommendation a bit off. The included color matrix was very helpful. They also followed up to make sure everything was OK. The product itself was also excellent. It forms a tough layer that stands up to wear and cleaning. The toughest part of this is color matching. I am artistically challenged. Getting the color just right was challenging. Between the color matrix provided, and the support team, I was able to get pretty close. I will likely go back to try to add a bit of grain, but from a standing position it takes a while to find the damage. The key is patience. start with the color pair recommended by the matrix. Add TINY amounts of other colors, especially if your primary color is light, and keep comparing. After hardening the patch was still slightly recessed so I followed up a week later to build it up a bit more.

Good Value for Woodwork Repair
I did use the repair kit and it did a pretty good job overall. I would give it 4 stars. Below is a summary of good points and suggestions for improvement. On the plus side, the complement of 10 color tubes can allow for almost any match to wood being repaired. It was easy to dispense small quantities without wasting the product and I thought this was an excellent feature. One minor improvement: inclusion of a 2nd brush would enable artistic type coloring (e.g., simulated grain patterns in a 2nd color against a background color that matches the original finish) On a negative note, the wood putty sets up pretty quickly after being mixed; in several minutes, it is too hard to work - so shaping must be done quickly. Although it does a reasonable job, if it were possible to elongate the time until it sets, I think this would be an improvement that would help the repair process. As it is, I would have the instructions say to err on making small, incremental builds to the desired contours, rather than trying to fix a deep/large defect all in one try. The instructions are OK, but could be improved with clarification of the short set up time of the putty. Comments left by others (e.g., one by a remodeler) talked about using a sharp blade to pare down the putty, rather than sanding it. I found this impractical for my project, which involved repairing a rounded chair strut that spanned the two front legs. In addition to being rounded, the wooden strut was bowed, making a compound curved surface that could not easily be scraped. Instead, I sanded the repair - using progressively finer sandpaper and then very fine steel wool. I then went through a couple of attempts to match the color of the original piece - and came reasonably close overall, as well as added some grain touches that help make the piece look more original. As mentioned above, I would rate the kit 4 stars - with the main deficiency related to the difficulty of dealing with the wood putty. However, overall, I am satisfied with my project and think your kit is definitely worth the price.

Sehr gut
Klare Kaufempfehlung!

Excellent Product
This kit is fantastic, the instructions are clear and it all very neat and compact. I used this on my hybrid timber floor to repair some scratches and it worked really well, colour matching is a little tricky but once you have the correct tone the scratches become undetectable, l highly recommend this product
