Luigi Bormioli Atelier 20 ounce Stemless Wine Glasses, Set of 4

We loved the Luigi Bormicoli 20 oz wine glasses and decided to try the stemless version. The stemmed version tips easily, so we were hoping to find a glass that was just as delicate, but more practical for everyday use. We really like the glasses, but they are difficult to hold if the drink is very cold and the glass has condensation on the outside. We still like the glasses, but tend to use them for drinks that are room temperature.

I love Bormioli glassware and I have a set of the larger red wine stemless glasses which I love. These are great quality, stylish, crystal clear and very durable, but I don't like them quite as much as the larger ones due to the roundness of the glasses. I have a harder time grasping and holding these because of the shape. Those with larger hands may not have an issue, but if you have smaller hands you might have trouble.

This glassware is lovely. Beautiful clarity, perfectly shaped, sweet sounding, nice rim, and outstanding for the price. However, I have hands that are on the small side for a man. I have a lot of trouble picking the glass up securely with one hand. Once I have it in hand, I can shift my grip to the bottom, but that is the only way I have found to hold the glass securely. This disturbing lack of a secure way for me to pick up the glass defeats my primary purpose in purchasing stemless glassware, which was to prevent spills.

Love these glasses. We play table games while we enjoy our wine and the stemmed glasses tend to get knocked over. These have the ambiance of fine glass without that problem. I bought the smaller ones and the larger ones. The larger ones are a bit large for my smaller hands to grasp. But still love them.

I do like the glasses, and they match the merlot glasses made by the same manufacturer, but they are very wide at the base. While they look lovely, they take up a lot of room to store.

I think one of the things that bothers me the most about cheap glasses is the rolled rim. I took a gamble on these because you can't tell from the pictures whether or not they have one. They don't! These glasses were a great buy - especially for somebody that breaks them and has to buy more - affordable and not cheap looking or feeling.

These are very nice glasses, as advertised, especially for the price. I didn't give them 5 stars because I've seen others that I liked better but overall would recommend these.

I use these for everything - not just wine. They feel amazing in your hand, are pretty sturdy and look really pretty on the table. I've been through many sets of these and always get compliments.
