Gotoh Schaller-style Knob Chrome Tuners (6-in-a-line)

Excellent tuners. Virtually a drop in fit - the OEM tuner mount hole didn't EXACTLY line up but the screws went in and they are mounted. The fit through the headstock is tighter than the OEM ones but still a simple push in not something you need tools for. Strong thumb will do. I purchased these machine tuners for my Squire Telecaster. The guitar was recently purchased new off the Fender website. The Squire Debut model - $150 price as of 11.10.25 purchased as a mod platform. Right out of the box the "G" string tuner was not working well - slipping and inconsistent string adjustment. Fender customer service was very friendly and helpful - said they will replace the guitar and I can send the guitar I have back or go to a local "approved by Fender" repair shops. The repair was about 45 minutes away - which is fine - however upgrading the machine tuners for a more precise tune was on my list of upgrades. Searched around and found these Gotoh Schaller-style Knob Chrome Tuners (6-in-a-line) tuners with high customer ratings. If you are doing an upgrade on your guitar you will likely have a good experience with these machine tuners.

These are great tuners - well made, nicely finished and with a nice 16:1 gear ratio that allows for precise tuning. The price on these was also very good. Includes all necessary screws, nuts and washers. They aren't locking type but that doesn't matter if you wrap the strings onto the posts properly The only slightly negative thing I can say - and this is not any fault of the tuners - is that they're a bit crowded when mounted on a Fender-style peg head. A set of the mini - sized tuners would give a little more finger space between the knobs, but really, these will work just fine and I have no desire or intention to swap them out for the smaller size.

These were an exact fit for my ESP LTD MH 300 (no drilling required). Installation was a breeze. These are definitely much higher quality than the original tuning machines that came with the guitar. Highly recommend.

These tuners are a great low cost upgrade for a budget guitar. They were easy to install too. They also made tuning more accurate and added tuning stability.

installed these on a Kramer Pacer, wow what a difference, now it tunes, fit perfectly, made a cheap guitar into a great guitar.

The tuners work great, the 16:1 gear ratio is smooth and allows for easy and accurate tuning. I put these on a 2021 LTD M-1 ‘87 Custom and there were some issues. The screws for the tuners were slightly larger than the original screws LTD used, you can either use the original screws or you will have to drill the hole a little larger. The other thing is due to the thickness of the headstock I couldn’t use the nuts and washers that came with the tuners. The tuners themselves were the same dimensions as the LTD tuners but the nuts were shorter. I have boxes of parts due to constantly modding my guitars so I found nuts that worked. None of this was a deal breaker but it’s worth noting because other people might not have excess parts to use or may chip the paint on a finished headstock trying to force the screws in. Again though, great tuners, and I would use them again in other projects.

Extremely smooth, look great on my Strat guitars, some of the best tuners you can buy. Very very accurate tuning with these and easy fit to both a Squire and after market neck I have used. These gave me a much better experience on a big head stock affinity Strat than expected when coupled with some roller saddles, tuning stability went from garbage to great!
