Treatise on Gemmotherapy: The therapeutic use of buds

A French idea.
This book has been translated into English from French. Therefore, there may be some confusion to English speaking readers with regard to some medical terms. (The French, as well as many other nationalities, have their own ideas on allopathic medicine. I for one appreciate this, as the British model is very restricted.) However, if confused, a search on the Internet should make all clear. With regard to Gemmotherapy itself, there is enough information to satisfy, without over complicating one's choice.I do recommend this book.

I love the book as a novice to the subject of gemmotherapy. Good layout, good information, good illustrations. As noted by another reviewer the binding was not up to par for a reference book. I would love it even more if the translation was improved to better grasp the nuances of the author. Apparently, it was not done by a native speaker.

Comprehensive reference on Gemmotherapy
The company offering this book for sale has to list it as "used" on Amazon though what you receive is actually a brand new book. They also deliver very fast with good packaging of the book unlike many resellers on Amazon. The current options to read about Gemmotherapy in English are few as this healing modality was developed in Europe and this is where it is primarily practiced today.Having read most of the books available on this subject in English, I am going to be so bold as to say this must be the most comprehensive book on Gemmotherapy available in English at present. It gives a history of man and plants then an easily referenced materia medica. The materia medica though only lists 57 gemmotherapy plants. There are approximately ten to fifteen more in use that are not listed. The one major flaw I have with this book is its binding. The binding is weak and is already showing signs of separating.I know research into this fascinating area is ongoing and to date this research has not been available in English. But hopefully as this therapy becomes more widely available and practiced in North America more books will be published in English. If you have an interest in this topic this particular book is a very good place to start.
