Q: Why won't the lid close? My husband purchased this and it won't shut (we are not talking about the finger protecting gap have it assembled correctly!

Yeah.. I noticed i put my hinge on backwards according to the directions, however when i turn it the way they want it to go, it don't match up at all because of a little metal tab they put on it that stops the movement. Basically the hinge in unusable
