Pennies from Heaven: Celebrated Quilt and Companion Projects (That Patchwork Place)

The book is very well illustrated and explains in detail the construction of the quilt as well as showing other projects that can be undertaken using the designs. Would be enjoyed by quilters interested in different quilting techniques and is a striking quilt.

In this book Gretchen uses cotton and wool and simple designs to create effective quilts and wall hangings. The designs are superb and I especially like the bird wall hangings. Over half the book is given over to the instructions for the cover quilt - so make sure this is something you want to make if you are buying this book. I'm sure you'll love it, it is fantastic. Apart from that there are three wall hangings (two based on birds), two table mats and table runner, a pillow and a gorgeous all hanging.
